UNDERSTANDING YOUR
SPIRITUAL BLOODLINE
Ps. 139:13-14 – For thou hast
possessed my reins, thou hast covered me in my mother’s
womb. I will praise thee for
I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works and that my soul
knoweth right well.
Your heavenly father
spoke the galaxies into existence. Your elderly brothers in the bible defeated
their enemies; Moses parted the red
sea, David, a shepherd boy defeated goliath a giant.
- There is a great faith in your bloodline (Abraham), there is a supernatural strength in your bloodline (Samson).
- There is supernatural protection in your bloodline (Daniel), there is determination and persistence in your bloodline (Nehemiah).
- Sacrifice and heroism are in your bloodline (Queen Esther), God sees you as already at the circle of winners.
- You came from a bloodline of champions; you are not ordinary, and you are thorough bred.
- Whatever may be happening around you, always remember that you have the blood of a winner flowing in you.
- You are the seed of the Almighty; you have been destined for victory, destined to overcome, destined to live your footprint on the sand of time.
- Our spiritual bloodline has ability to override our natural bloodline and our human limitations.
LET US CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING
- We have entered into a new bloodline, the old is passed away. 11Cor. 5:17, Col. 3:9-10.
- When you really understand all that God has done for you and you begin to act as if they are true (because they are true), then you will rise far above the activities of your adversaries. Jn. 8:32, Col. 1:13.
- There is power in your bloodline. Rev. 12:11, Heb. 13:20-21.
- God knew us before we were born; you were pre-ordained to be here at this particular time. Rm. 8:29-31, Jer. 1:4-6.
- We all have areas in which we need to improve. Phil. 1:6, 11Cor. 6:1.
- God was thinking about you before you were ever born. Jer. 29:11, Ps. 40:17.
- God has not stopped working, He is still very much at work in you and for you. Jn. 15:17, Col. 1:29. NOTE: Increase your faith through your zeal; your activities in the things of the spirit is a great investment for your future.
EXERCISING YOUR AUTHORITY AS A BELIEVER
Victory seems to be difficult for many because the
world is negatively programmed. Every believer has authority as a Child of God
but victory involves diligence. Authority of we believers are meant to be
exercised throughout our life time because God has purposed to take us from
victory to victory.
We must
understand that there is a rebel holder of believers rights and privileges, so
victory requires our will; and obedience to God’s instructions on daily basis.
Challenges
of life may make you afraid but we are not expected to exercise our fear. Faith
is required to operate that delegated authority given to us by our Lord Jesus
Christ.
A
policeman does not have authority to establish a police force or police station
but when he is exercising his authority he can beat up a criminal or shoot
somebody as if he is the owner of police force yet it was a delegated
authority. Still, there may be another policeman who is afraid of exercising his
authority but that doesn’t stop the strength of the authority of police force.
Therefore
when you rise up to exercise your divine authority, when you say YES, God will not say NO.
You may
pray gently, quietly or silently to God, but if you speak gently, silently
or quietly when taking authority, it
will not be obeyed either physically or spiritually, it is a sign of unseriousness.
Remember
the devil your adversary is more stubborn than an HE GOAT.
CONSIDER
THE FOLLOWING IN EXERCISING YOUR AUTHORITY
1.
Knowledge will be
the secret of your confidence and boldness. Jn.8:32, 1cor.12:1, 11 Pt.1:2-3.
2.
Believers have
inherited power that resides in them which is Dunamis form of power. Act 1:8,
Ja. 5:16.
3.
You must be
conscious of the personality that delegated your authority when exercising it.
Dan. 4:34-35, 1Sam. 2:4, 6-7.
4.
The authority of
every believer is permanent. Mal. 3:6, Matthew 28:18-20.
5.
Quote the specific
words of your authority when exercising it. Lk. 10:19, Jn. 14:14, Mt. 18:18-20.

No word, No
authority in Spirit. Heb. 4:12, Jn. 1:1-5.

DISEASE
OF THE TONGUE
Prov. 18:21 – Death and life are in the
power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
We have learned that the right
use of the tongue will impart life and conversely, the wrong use will impart
death.
Now we will consider certain
specific diseases that affect our tongue. The diseases that commonly infect our
lives through the misuse of our tongues can in some cases be fatal if left
unchecked.
THE FOLLOWING ARE SOME DISEASES TO BE CONSIDERED
1.
EXCESSIVE TALKING:
Prov.
10:19, Eccl. 5:1-2, Eccl. 5:3.
Note: An angel records what we say
when we are praying, speaking, or worshiping. We will be held accountable for
all we have said, sung or prayed.
When
you hear a person continually talking, you need no other evidence that the
person is a fool; a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words. Excess talking
is also a sure indication of someone whose heart is not at rest.
2.
IDLE OR CARELESS WORDS:
Mt.
12:26, Mt.5:37
Note: One day we are going to answer
for words that were idle and insincere that we did not really mean, that we
were not prepared to stand behind or that we cannot work out in our lives.
This is astonishing; if we say more than we mean, then it is exaggeration.
Exaggeration in our speech comes from the devil. If you don’t mean it don’t say
so, then you will be a different person and a much better person.
3.
GOSSIP: Lev. 19:16, Prov. 18:8, Prov.
20:19, Ps. 15:1-3.
Note: Idle, untrue, exaggerated and
malicious talks are all gossip. The title of the devil in GREEK LANGUAGE means SLANDERER.
Anyone who gossips or tells tales is actually doing the devil's work. Not
only must we be careful not to gossip but we must not also receive it.
4.
LYING: Prov. 12:22, Prov. 6:16-19, John 8:44, Rev.
21:8.
Note: Out of the seven things the
Lord hates, there are three that affect the tongue, and of those three, two are
specifically connected with lying. Every time a lie passes through our lips, it
comes from the devil. Unless the disease of lying is arrested and healed, it
is fatal.
In one of the verses above (Prov.
12:22) we have the words "detest" and "delight". The Lord detests lying
lips and delights in men who are truthful. Nothing in between; if it is not
truthful, it is a lie, and if it is a lie, the Lord detests it. If it is truthful,
the Lord delights in it.
THE LIVES THAT
PLEASE GOD
I Cor. 10:5–6 - But with many of
them, God was not well pleased, for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Now these things
were our examples, to the intent, we should not lust after evil things as they
also lusted.
The major plague
the devil has used to capture humanity is the plague of selfishness. People are
ready to do anything devilish or demonic so long as they will enjoy it and it will
satisfy their lustful desires.
Only very few among
Christians want to consider if whatever they are doing pleases God or not. They
forgot that the scripture says when the way of a man pleases God; he will make
even his enemy to be at peace with him.
When a man or a
woman does not cultivate a strong personal relationship with God, he or she
will grow weaker and weaker in the spirit, which will lead to many wrong
decisions, and falling into temptations over and over again completely forgetting
that a dangerous end is ahead of him.
When you grow
strong in the spirit, your flesh is tamed, bound and subjected; conversely, when you
grow strong in the flesh, your spirit is tamed, bound and subjected.
The day the enemy
rises up against you, you are finished. Then you are overthrown in the
wilderness of life as it happened to the Israelites of old in the scripture
above.

LIVING FOR THINGS THAT CAN STAND THE TEST OF TIME
II. Cor. 4:18 – While we look
not at the things which are seen but at the things which are not seen. For the
things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are
eternal.
We
all have the challenge of looking or considering things that are seen, things
that are meant for our immediate satisfaction and pleasure. Usually, we also feel like
not considering things that are eternal or tend to make it secondary if at all it
is going to be considered in our life endeavors.
Most
of the time, we do not think that things that are seen will fade away with time;
that is why the scripture says they are temporal but humanity has agreed with
the enemy of their soul to live and invest their destiny on what will fade away.
Human being will work hard and invest the best of their resources and potential
on what will fade away with time because they cannot see the things that are
eternal.
But
we are not created for time, we are created for eternity. If we have invested
all that we have on a very short and temporal part of our lives, what happens to
our eternity?
Whatever
we do in time are investments for our eternity, good or bad. Either we like it
or not we shall live for eternity. It is now in this realm of time that we are
going to personally choose where and how we are to spend our eternity.
Below
are some of the tabulated things that are not made and things that are made,
things that are eternal and things that will fade away with time, things that
are seen and the things that are not seen and you should check how you live.

HOW TO RECOGNISE THE
WEALTH IN YOU
Eph.1:3 – Blessed be the God and
father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings
in the heavenly places in Christ.
You are the light of the world. The
miracle-working power of God is inside of you.
It was the plan of God to empower
you from your inside, to bless you, help you, glorify himself in your life. As
your father, he wants to be proud of you and then use you and your testimonies
to encourage others.
One of the principles of prosperity
and wealth is sowing and reaping (Gal.6:7). The seed that leaves your hand
never lives your life. It goes to your future to wait for you as a harvest.
Sow mercy and you will receive mercy
(Prov.3:3-4), pray for people and God will raise up people to pray for you. None
of your good deeds is lost and no evil deed is lost also; unless you repent, you will meet them somewhere, somehow along the journey of your life.
Lk.6:38.
The devil doesn’t want you to see,
he wants you to remain blind and stubborn so that you can remain in his plan of
failure and doom.
The Holy Spirit speaks to your
thoughts to direct you and the devil also speaks to your thoughts to deceive you,
seduce you and reduce you.
But you can begin to dig into the
wealth and potentials in you by taking the following steps:
- Be diligent. Any wealth or blessing you acquire wrongly will fly away; it’s a matter of time. Prov.13:11, Prov.10:22.
- Prioritize your spending; wrong priorities will sabotage your prosperity. Stop buying what you don’t really need. The difference between men and boys is that, men invest on tools but boys invest on toys. Prov.23:23, Prov.29:18.
- Learn to solve problems, be a blessing and not a burden. It is the problems you solve that make you relevant, Gen.12:2-3, Gen1:27-28.
- Everyman in the world is under the curse of poverty (Deut. 28:15-65) but your commitment to God is the only key to freedom. Gal.3:13-14, Deut. 30:19-20.
- Give your best to the service and progress of the kingdom of God. Then the covenant of God for his servants will manifest in your life. Prov.11:24-25, Mal.3:17-18.
- Obedience to the commandment of God on tithing is a major key that will unlock your blessings and stop the devourer for your sake. Mal.3:8-12, Mt.23:23.
- As you confess and pray the word of God, your potentials will manifest through hard work. Ps.1:1-3, Prov.22:29. Great future is ahead of you, you will get there and no one will cut down your life in Jesus Name.
THE
POWER OF YOUR DREAM OR VISION
Dream and visions are many times
used interchangeably because they have similar meanings.
An average man knows dreams to be moving Images and pictures that you see involuntarily in your sleep. Some you
can remember, some you can’t; some make meanings to you, while some make no
meaning; some are good, while some are not good and some are even nightmares.
But the dreams described above are
in three categories:
1. The dreams brought
to you by the Spirit of God, either you are a child of God or not.
2. The dreams brought to you by
evil or demonic spirits either you are a child of the devil or not.
3. The dreams that came to you
through the activities of your mind (The five senses)
The first and the second are to be
carefully observed through prayers.
Much
more than all the above, dreams and visions are strong desired goal or purpose,
and the study of today will be focused on this aspect.
These types of dreams fix your eyes
on the future. Through your purpose, your dream, goal or vision, you see beyond
the present and that thing you focus on will affect your total life for good.
It gives you something good to hope for in the future.
It gives you something worth dying
for. Martin Luther King Jnr said “if a man hasn’t discovered something he can
die for, he is not fit to live”. Your dream and goal place your life on the
lifeline for others. Paul said "I count not my life dear unto myself". (Act
20:24). Moses said to God, "if you won't forgive Israel their sins, blot me, I pray
thee, out of thy book which thou hast written".
CONSIDER THE
FOLLOWING:
- Your dream will reveal your true worth; it will bring your true identity. (Gen. 12:3, Judg. 6:12).
- Dreams and visions give you value for your existence. (Phil. 1:21, 1Cor. 9:16).
NOTE: Dreamless life leads to careless
life.
- Your purpose and dreams give you a platform for leadership, leadership is a call to service. (Gen. 50:17-21, 1Sam. 17:17-18).
- Your dreams, goal and purpose will bring your enemies out of hiding. It will bring your Goliath to manifestation. (Gen. 37:11, 1Sam. 17:44-45).
- Your dreams and visions will reveal your uniqueness more than your name; people will know you by your purpose. (Gen. 37:19. Jn. 1:40-41).
- It is what moves you out of your comfort zone. (Gen. 12:1-2, Gen. 39:20-21).
- It is only through your dreams that you can become your best rather than the best. (Neh. 1:11, 1Tim. 1:12-13).
- Your dream, vision and purpose will give you direction in life, no more living like a wanderer. (Jn. 6:15, Prov. 29:18).
- Your dream and vision will outlive your generation (Gen. 12:3, Gal. 3:13-14).
THE EFFICIENT PRAYER
Ja. 5:16 – Confess your faults one to another and pray one
for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous
man availeth much.
In prayers, what you earnestly desire and persistently
affirm will be yours if you faint not. Job 22:28 - You shall decree a
thing and it shall be established unto you.
A prayer without desire, sincerity, zeal of your soul and
spirit is a waste of time.
Prayer is also practising God’s presence. Most people have
wrong orientations about prayers, thinking prayer is asking God for human needs and as such,
they don’t need to pray; so, those who are praying have become a race of praying
beggars.
God is a Spirit, man is also a spirit and our human spirit
needs constant connection with the Spirit of God for strength, for life,
renewal, refreshment and cleansing.
Through prayers, our body can be so changed with spiritual
powers that it will overcome death. Jn.11:26 – Whosoever liveth and believeth
in me shall never die, believeth thou this?
One of the major reasons for prayers is all about what
Jesus said that "I and my father are one" – not always because of personal needs.
Prayerlessness detaches believers from God. Our communion and attachment to God
must not stop.
The following are the effect of prayers: God is Power but
man is powerful, God is Wisdom but man is wise, God is Love but man is loving,
God is Life but man is living, God is Mind and man is a thinker, God is Truth
but man is truthful.

Prayerful
Christian is full of peace, no fear, no doubt, no worry, no confusion. Phil.
4:6-7, Col. 3:15.
2.
Through prayers,
believers draw near to God. Ja. 4:6-8, 1Thess. 5:17-19
3. Prayerful believers have access to
divine secrets. Jer. 33:3, Ps. 25:14
4. It is only through prayers that
believers cast their burdens upon the Lord. 1Pet. 5:7, Ps. 55:22, 16-17.
5. The authority of believers to rule
and reign like kings is only exercised through prayers. Lk.10:19, Mt.
18:18-20.
6. It is through prayers of thanksgiving
and sacrifice of praise that believers stir God up to rise on their behalf.
Ps.149:6-9, Heb.13:15.
7. Prayerless Christians are like well
without water or a cloud without rain. Mt. 22:29, 1Cor. 4:20.
PUT YOUR
PAST BEHIND YOU
Phil. 3:13 – Brethren, I count not myself to have
apprehended but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind
and reaching forth unto those things which are before.
While some people are troubled about their horrible
past, some others are depressed about their once beautiful
past.
Children who grew up in uncomfortable environment or
disadvantaged location in life without food, good education and shelter, may
have difficulty believing in their promising future due to their horrible
upbringing. On the other hand, orphans who remembered how they grow up in the
loving hands of their parents, in the midst of affluence may have difficulty
believing in the possibilities of the future due to their beautiful past gone
away.
Most people hang pictures of the past around their
living room to keep alive the memory of how beautiful their past used to look
like without any picture to imagine the glorious future they are expecting to
receive.
Natural man finds it easy to talk about the past than
they talk of the future, they happily say “In the good olden days” believing
the past is better than their present and their future and that negative
belief has great impact on their faith, as it hinders the progress of the
present and the future.
Many times God speaks in His word, He will say
“BEHOLD” He wants us to see the invisible, see His promises, and see His glory.
The invisible is more real and authentic than the visible.
What you see is temporal and the unseen is eternal. (2Cor.
4:18).
Our future is far brighter than our past and God
wants us to see it, believe it and act like it.
CONSIDER
THE FOLLOWING
1. Your true past is not the one you experienced, your
true past is in the womb of God. (Jer. 1:4-5, Ex. 3:10-13).
2. God allows your negative past to prepare and process
you for your bright future. (Judges 6:12-15, 7:22-23).
3. The reason why God gave us today is because yesterday
was not good enough; our mission was not accomplished yesterday. (La. 3:21-25, Ps. 68:19).
4. The gift of the present is a proof that the future
will be better than the past. (Jn. 10:10, Ps. 103:1-5).
5. In the mind of God, He expects us to see, think and
move forward in life. (Ex. 14:15, Heb. 12:11-13).
6. Do not travel into your future with overloaded memory
of your past. (Lk. 9:62, Is. 43:19).
The secret of giants and great people is that they
conquered their nightmares by their dreams. (Gen. 37:23:24, Gen. 50:16-21).
MAINTAINING
A GOOD MENTAL ATTITUDE
Prov.
23:7 – As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.
Mental attitude is the most important factor in handling life conflicts and pressures. The born slaves (Israelites) could not enter into their promised land except Caleb and Joshua in that generation (Josh. 14:6-13); it was because of their mindset.

significant and important than circumstances, people, financial and physical
factors are our mental attitude. Even if everything is working perfectly, a
poor mental attitude can destroy all the advantages. (Mk.7:21-32).
ESSENTIAL STEPS IN MAINTAINING A GOOD MENTAL
ATTITUDE
1.
Knowing who you are: Four questions must be answered in order to discover your true identity.
(a) WHO AM I? (Jn. 1:12-13, 1Pt. 2:9, II Cor.
6:15-16)
NOTE:
You
are in the class of the most important people in the universe. You are not just
another animal but a special creature of God; The omnipotent God is interested
in you.
(b) WHERE DID I COME FROM?
(Jn.1:1-3,
Jer. 1:5, Eph. 3:14-15) God is your origin. You are in him
(c) WHY AM I HERE?
You are here for a purpose, you are here on assignment. (Eph. 2:10, II Cor. 5:20, II
Timo. 4:7)
(d) WHERE AM I GOING?
(II
Timo. 4:8, Heb. 11:26, Jn.14:1-4)
God in his abundant mercy and love has made a way of escape
for us from the sinfulness and the corruption of this world that we might
receive forgiveness and eternal life.
Those who cannot endure the emptiness of
purposeless life resort to Marijuana, alcohol, drugs and promiscuity.
A purposeful life is a life of
fulfillment. Your reason for living is in God.
He is the secret of contentment.
2.
Accept yourself as God made you. (Rm.8:32,
Ps.84:11, Is.45:9) The way you are made is the best way your maker wanted
you to be. If you will accept it, you will also become the best and bring glory
to him. You are the special object of God’s love. The death of Jesus proves
that you are as beautiful and handsome as you think you are.
3.
Develop an altitude of thanksgiving both to
man and God. (I Thess. 5:18; Ps. 100; Eph. 5:19-20) if you can think, you
will discover that we can’t thank enough. Thanksgiving brings peace and contentment. It dissolves
worry and that is the attitude that pleases God.
SECRETS OF SUCCESSFUL
LIVING
Gen.
24:1 – Now Abraham was old and well stricken in age,
for the Lord has blessed Abraham in all things.
It
is the ultimate aim of God to make us successful in live. This is the intention
of God when he called us to come and keep coming to him. He hates to see us in
poverty and struggle. He has put everything in place to make life comfortable
and worth living for us.
But
sad to say, most people have pitched their tents with the enemy in ignorance,
laziness and complacency, they have made God a liar over their lives. Instead
of them to cooperate with God to bring his promises to pass, they have cooperated
with the devil and thus, limit the Holy one of Israel.
Ps.
34:10 – The young lions do lack and suffer hunger but they
that seek the Lord shall not lack in any good thing.
There
is gain in godliness; he didn’t want us to serve him in vain. Seeking him will
bring us to success.
II
Cor. 9:8 – And God is able to make all grace abound toward
you that you always having sufficiency in all things may abound in every good
work.
To
bring the promises of God to pass, we have an active role to play. We have to
get fully involved. We must be mindful of every detail and let every thing pass
through due process.
THE
FOLLOWING ARE SOME OF THE BASIC THINGS TO DO TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN LIFE:
1.
Learn to live by principles and not by
miracles. Miracles are only needed in crisis and mostly it is disobedience that
leads to crisis. Jn. 8:32, Deut. 28:1-14
2.
Tradition will make you repeat the failure,
the poverty and the curses of your ancestors. Ps.74:20, Ps. 73:27-28
3.
Doing new things will bring new results,
which will be the proof of your success and that is the evidence to show you are
getting better. Is.43:18-19, Rm.12:2
4.
To begin to do things in a new and better
way. We need new information. II Pt. 1:3-5, Prov. 1:29-31
5.
Opportunities for success arise more than once.
They appear numerous times, during the course of our life. We miss them because
of ignorance and apathy. Eccl. 9:11, Prov. 6:10
6.
We need to be serious, sober minded and
alert to be ready for new opportunities. It is disappointing when an
opportunity comes and we are not prepared. I Pt. 5:8, Titus 2:4-9
7.
Successful people always go extra mile in
whatever they do, that is why they are successful. Prov. 10:5, Prov. 31:10-30.
8.
Wisdom, understanding and competence are
results of thorough preparations. Prov. 4:5-9, Prov. 23:23
CHRISTIAN ATTITUDE IN RELATING WITH GOD
God is not a man, and He says his ways
are not our ways (Is.55:8). Sometimes we expect God to reason the way our little
minds reason, but God will never come down to the level that He will start thinking
like a mortal man.
God Almighty expects each and every
one of us to learn about him, believe and trust him, and to learn about him more and
more, so that we can start to think the way he thinks.
When we begin to reason like God, it
becomes easy for us to walk with him by faith and patience, and then we shall
not easily get discouraged; it will also be easy for us to preach to others and
encourage them to love God, serve him like us and be at peace.
The reason why we don’t exercise
passion in calling others to God is because we are still feeling confused on
some things, we are not really totally convinced that all things will work together
for good for everyone that loves God and walks according to his purpose.

God is eager than we are eager to
help us, bless us, defend us and have mercy on us. But he delights in our
desire for knowledge (Hos.4:6). Sometimes he refuses to jump
the rules and have mercy because we have not settled down to know and
understand what he wants us to know. Whatever we think we have known
will be clearly seen in our attitude towards God.

SOME OF THE BASIC
THINGS TO KNOW AND DO TOWARDS GOD
1. Whatever
you put in the hand of God, he will multiply it. Jn. 6:9-13, Prov. 3:9-10, Ps.
126:3-6
2. If
you want your house to be built, or your marriage to be built, then be actively
involved in building the kingdom
of God. Gal.
6:7, Heb. 11:6, Heb. 6:10-11
3. When
you turn your back to God in the days of pleasure, you will turn your back to
the enemy in the days of trouble. Is. 1:20, Deut. 28:14-15, Deut. 30:19-30
4. People
who honour and exalt things and people higher than God will be preys to their
enemies and not find deliverance in the day of trouble. Prov. 1:24-28, Ps. 18:41, Ps.
18:28
5. When
you are asked to give to the kingdom
of God, you are either glad,
sad or mad. But it is when you are glad that you make God glad and pour out his
blessings on you. II Cor.9:7, II Chron. 1:6-7
6. When
you are discouraged, you empowered your enemy. When you encouraged yourself,
you take over power from your enemy and empower angels to work on your behalf. I
Sam. 30:6, 19, Jn. 14:1
7. Consider
the gift that God gave to us (Jesus his only son) and imagine the value he
placed on us. The more we reflect the same back to him, the more we enjoyed
victory in every area of our lives. Jn. 14:21, Mt. 22:37-38
